Dr. Erick Esparza is a dental surgeon and the founder of Zaffier in Mexico City. With over seven years of clinical experience, he has dedicated his career to transforming lives through something as powerful as a smile. 

A graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)—the country’s most prestigious and recognized academic institution—Dr. Esparza gained a strong foundation in dentistry that allowed him to stand out from the very beginning. He later expanded his training with certifications in cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry, mastering techniques to restore both harmony and function to the smile, along with advanced training in dental implants, a field in which he has developed deep expertise by designing and placing state-of-the-art implants that deliver highly aesthetic and functional results. 

In addition, he completed surgical training in oral surgery at three of the most renowned hospitals in the country, equipping him with the skills to perform complex procedures with confidence and precision. His professional background is further strengthened by studies in Business and Dental Clinic Management, which have enabled him to create and operate a practice like Zaffier—where clinical excellence and patient experience go hand in hand. 

Dr. Esparza’s passion for dentistry was born from a deep conviction: to help people reclaim their lives through their smiles. From the very beginning, he felt he could do more—go beyond basic dental care—and give as many people as possible the opportunity to rediscover confidence and the joy of living. That’s why he created Zaffier International Dentistry, with the goal of offering patients from the United States—a hardworking, committed community—access to high-quality, affordable dental care. Over the last two decades, Dr. Esparza has built a successful dental tourism business providing dental implants for international patients with incomparable quality.

Dr. Héctor Robles is a specialist in cosmetic dentistry with a subspecialty in surgical implantology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one of the country’s most prestigious institutions. His training in dental implants represents a high standard of excellence, as the program admits only six professionals per year across all of Mexico. 

With over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Robles has become a recognized expert in handling complex oral surgery and implantology cases. Throughout his career, he has restored dental function and aesthetics to hundreds of patients who believed they had lost the ability to smile, laugh, or eat with confidence. 

His passion for dentistry is reflected not only in his clinical work but also in his commitment to education. He is an international speaker and a professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at UNAM, where he trains new generations of dentists with a focus on ethics, clinical precision, and compassionate care. 

He currently practices in Mexico City as part of the team at Zaffier International Dentistry, where he manages the most challenging cases of prosthodontics and implantology. His approach is grounded in excellence, empathy, and a deep dedication to transforming lives through oral health.

Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Michell Gamboa is a specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery, trained at the Military College and equipped with advanced surgical education. With over 7 years of experience, he has performed procedures ranging from basic oral surgery to complex hospital trauma cases, establishing himself as a leading figure in the comprehensive treatment of head and neck conditions.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Orthognathic Surgery, Dr. Gamboa is expanding his ability to transform lives through both functional and aesthetic procedures, including cosmetic dentistry options. His expertise includes a strong background in the extraction of third molars (wisdom teeth) as well as the diagnosis and treatment of maxillofacial pathologies, which may involve dental implants in certain cases.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gamboa is actively involved in scientific outreach, with multiple publications in medical journals and as a speaker at seminars organized by the Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

His professional philosophy is rooted in going the extra mile for each patient. Dr. Salathiel is a specialist in Periodontics and Implantology, boasting over 10 years of clinical, teaching, and training experience in highly complex cases. A graduate of the Universidad Latinoamericana (ULA), a prestigious institution in Mexico recognized for its excellence in dental education, Dr. Amador has built his career on precision, ethics, and a profound commitment to his patients.

He has enhanced his professional training with international certifications in advanced implantology from esteemed institutions in Spain, Chile, Argentina, among others. This background has enabled him to remain at the forefront of surgical techniques in bone regeneration, dental implants, and comprehensive periodontal care.

In addition to his clinical practice in Mexico City at Zaffier International Dentistry, Dr. Amador also teaches at universities such as ULA and UNAM, sharing his expertise in cosmetic dentistry with new generations of dental professionals. His active participation as both an attendee and speaker at international conferences reflects his ongoing pursuit of professional excellence.

Dr. Maleni Mercado is a specialist in Endodontics with a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to preserving natural teeth through advanced, minimally invasive treatments. She received her specialty training at Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of the most prestigious and highly regarded academic institutions in the country, known for producing top-tier healthcare professionals.

With extensive experience in managing complex cases, Dr. Mercado is highly skilled in handling instrument fractures, failed root canals, chronic infections, retreatments, and apical surgeries, always working with precision, patience, and clinical excellence. Her expertise also extends to cosmetic dentistry, ensuring that aesthetic considerations are met alongside functional needs.

Her approach focuses on pain-free treatment, prioritizing patient comfort from the very first visit.
